I can see why these are called the Perfect Pant. The fabric is nice and thick, without being too heavy. Ultimately, these were not the perfect pant for my body type. I initially ordered the in size Small (as recommended on the size chart) They fit ok in the waist, but were a bit loose in the hips. Also, they bunched weirdly in the crotch. I liked the style and fabric enough to reorder them in an XS. This fit was much better, however, they still bunched in the crotch area. I have this problem frequently with pants that are a higher rise, so I don’t fault the pants. For reference sake, I’m 5’7, 122lbs, with a straight body top, no hips. The pants that fit me in denim are Paige, size 26. NYDJ jeans in a 0 and NYDJ Ponte Knit pants in 00 due to stretchier fabric. Hope this review helps someone like me who had never tried on Spanx pants and are unsure of what size to buy.

These pants are super flattering. When you have the right size, and they run small, the fit and look is great. I am usually a size small in most pants and I needed a medium. They are very comfortable and have enough stretch to move with you, not restrict you. The fabric is heavy and substantial- you will not see cellulite. Best of all, these pants do not attract pet hair. I have cats and usually, anything black is a disaster. But this fabric seems to repel fur.

Overall, pricey but very much worth it!

These are the perfect pair of black pants - the fabric weight, cut, leg opening, waistband, replaces all those other black pants in your closet! The drape is very dressy, the waistband is wide enough it provides a snug fit but doesn't roll when moving around, the leg opening is the perfect in between of boot cut and skinny, and extremely comfortable (feels like yoga pants, looks like real pants.) I don't like 'skin tight' fit so order one size up and it's a perfect Spanx feel - in control but with a nice drape. Literally pulled out multiple pairs of black pants from my closet and replaced with these--they fill the need for some many occassions!

I was hesitant to order a 1X, but that was the size recommended in the chart. A bit snug going on, but only in my waist, and I found it relaxed a bit with wear, and I would describe them as comfortable. I love the quality and workmanship of the pants, and the style is exactly what I was looking for. These can definitely be dressed up or down. For the colder months, I will probably wear a relaxed fit pullover sweater with them, or a boyfriend button down and a cardigan or sweater vest. I would purchase these in a different color, or perhaps in a different style. I'll be on the lookout for another sale.
